Sri Lanka Women Lawyers' Association held an awareness programme for children & parents at Holy Family Church, Rajakadaluwa in collaboration with Father Sampath of Rajakadaluwa Holy Family Church with the assistance of Sister Superior Rev.Ethel Alwis of St. Joseph School for Deaf, Ragama on 27th February 2016.

It was a very interactive session since the opportunity was given to the audience for questions & answers and they were very keen to get solutions for their problems throughout the session.

After the awareness programme, the Association donated Dry Rations (including rice, dhal, sugar, bigonions, milk powder, canned fish, flour, salt etc.. each pack weighing 9.7 Kg) and other donations (First Aid Packs, Sarongs, Clothes, Frocks, Slippers, Sarees, Toys & Fancy items for children , T-shirts, Trousers, etc..) to 25 families whose names were selected by Father Sampath at Rajakadaluwa Church at Nagul Eliya Village near the Anawilundawa wet land ( the famous place where migrant birds visit & breed in Sri Lanka).

The event was brought to a close by distributing 60 lunch packets to the gathering.

The expenses of the whole project were borne by the Office Bearers, Committee Members and Past Presidents of the Association.
