56th Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka Women Lawyers’ Association.

The 56th Annual General Meeting of the Sri Lanka Women Lawyers’ Association was held on 2nd December 2018 at the Ramada Hotel Colombo.

The Chief Guest was Mrs.Pavithra Wanniarachchi M.P., Attorney at Law addressed the gathering. She stated that women by nature are empowered with a strong influencing power, resilient to change and determined to succeed, which inherent position traits needed for professionals enabling them to take leading positions in many professions across the globe including legal profession and appreciated the contribution made by SLWLA for the members of the legal profession and women in protecting the interest and rights of women.

The outgoing president Ms.Sandya Thalduwa briefed the membership on the activities of the committee and thanked all the members for their contribution towards the development of the association.

An awareness presentation was made on the management of Diabetic by Dr.Prasad Katulanda Consultant Endocrinologist/Diabetologist. Mrs.Kishani George from Stretch N Tone made a presentation on Stretching Exercises.

The Annual report and the Treasurers’ report were presented by Ms.Ruchira Gunasekara – Secretary Sri Lanka Women Lawyers’ Association.

Following members were appointed as office bearers for the year 2018/2019
