Sipiri Nena Sala Programme at Prisons Headquarters

Supporting the Library Development Project of the Prison Authorities to equip the library for the female inmates in Welikada Prison, SLWLA organized a Programme for establishing a library for female inmates of Welikada Prison which was coordinated by Mr.Chandana Ekanayeka Prisons Commissioner on the 05th September 2022.

Past Presidents and Committee Members supported the event in raising funds to purchase book racks and books for the programme.

25 Women Lawyers were presented at the Programme.

Mr. Chandana Ekanayake, the Prisons Commissioner thanked on behalf of the Prison Authorities and the female inmates in Welikada Prison were happy about the Library facililties afforded by SLWLA under this programme.
